Those close to me often say my story is one of resilience and determination. I suppose that’s why I openly share what I’ve learnt from my own experience. If I can help share my learnings, whether with an individual on a personal level or a larger corporation as a collective, it’s aligned with my value of helping others solve their problems in the face of challenges.

As a promising student and athlete from a young age, I faced some challenges early in life. I was hit by a car as an 8-year-old, suffered a broken right leg, spent three weeks in a coma with a significant cerebal edema.

Several years of hospital visits ensued faced with challenges of relearning a lot of basic life skills. I didn’t let it get me down, I got back into my athletics and managed to compete as a professional sprinter in the Victorian Athletic League which holds prestigious, globally recognised events such as the Stawell Gift.

During this time, I also pursued my love of learning obtaining a Mechanical Engineering degree with Honours from Monash University and my MBA from Melbourne Business School. I also received Executive level coaching as part of an accelerated leadership program with a large global multinational. I was privileged to be selected as 1 of 6 internal recruits from an employee base of 45,000.

A career spanning many industries and organisational levels has given me an appreciation for not only how people operate – whether by unconscious biases or our inherent human traits – but also the intricacies of organisational dynamics.

I’m now the dad of three amazing kids, and I love and care for them with the same values as shown by my parents. I owe a lot to them. My experiences have shown me the value of empathy and the need to care for everyone around as we never know what others have been through or what they are experiencing. I am also seeing that by understanding the human makeup (frankly) leads to sustainable value creation for businesses.

My clients are important to me. I consider myself a person driven by integrity, and I seek to bring my sense of empathy, fairness, fierce professionalism and determination to deliver results in every engagement.
